Australia is a leading agricultural power (cattle, one of foremost producers in the world), sheep (the biggest herd in the world), sugar cane...) Wheat is grown, as well as vines, fruit, sugar cane, barley (farmed land : 6%). Australia also produces its own wine. The agricultural production cannot be diversified as the climatic conditions are not favorable for other crops. Agriculture is highly mechanized, 5.6% of the total working population are in agriculture, and this sector contributes 4% to the Gross National Product. In France 35% of the territory is farmed compared to 6% in Australia. It is the 4th largest agricultural surplus in the world.		L’Australie est une très grande puissance agricole (bovins (un des premiers producteurs mondial), ovins (premier troupeau mondial), canne à sucre...). On y cultive le blé, la vigne, les fruits., la canne à sucre, l’orge (Terres cultivées : 6%). L’Australie produit également son vin. Ce continent ne peut diversifier sa production, les conditions climatiques n’étant pas favorables pour d’autres cultures agricoles. L’agriculture est fortement mécanisée, les emplois occupent 5.6% de la population active totale, et ce secteur contribue pour 4% au Produit National Brut. En France 35% du territoire est cultivé contre 6% en Australie.
