City Ville Guide

Nova Scotia (920,000 inhabitants)
The capital is Halifax (300,000 inhabitants). This region is essentially employed in fishing (shellfish) and the industry surrounding it. Halifax is joined to Dartmouth (70,000 inhabitants) by a bridge. In June 1995 the heads of State of the industrialized countries met in Halifax for their annual meeting.

French is spoken as a part of the population is of French origin. The summers are hot here and the winters are cold. The international airport of Halifax is situated at about 30 minutes from the centre of town. Air Canada has flights every day between Halifax and Toronto.

You don't need a visa to travel, only a valid passport. Shopping is pleasant, you are sure to find something to please you in the many little local shops (artisan objects made by the MicMac Indians), and clothes are cheap.
