Vienna
is the capital of Austria as well as a

Leisure time: Vienna offers a wide range
of leisure time activities. It is
considered to be the most "Green" Capital
of Europe. 50% of Vienna´s area is
covered with lawn or parks, 18% are
covered by forrests. The biggest forrest,
the Wienerwald, is avery well-known and
well-accepted green-belt recreation area
around Vienna.
Donauinsel, an artificial island in the
river Danube (built to prevent flooding of
the city), is with it´s length of 42
km the longest beach in a european city.
Easy-to-reach by car, bike or public
transportation, Donauinsel is the most
important recreational area in Vienna.
Many different activities as for instance
roller-skating, cycling, wind-surfing,
sailing, swimming and many more are offerd
here.
