Connections with France

By plane : There are several daily flights to Brussels with Sabena and Air France. Sabena proposes flights also from Marseilles, Lyon, Nice and Bordeaux. There is also a daily flight (except at the weekend) from Paris to Liege with CAE.

By train : Every day about two dozen trains go between Paris and Brussels. It takes 2h30 with the TEE, which arrives in the Gare du Midi, just next to the Grand Place, and it takes only 1h30 with the TGV. Eurostar goes directly from Nice (stopping in Marseilles, Lyon, Lille etc) and from London to Brussels (via the Eurotunnel).
The stations in Brussels are connected by underground trams and by a small train to the airport.

By Road : There is 274 kms between Paris and Brussels, with good autoroutes on both sides of the border.
Internal transport : The distances between the towns are not very big, never going above 100 kms. There are
130,100 kms of road in Belgium, 1,630 kms of which are highway. All of these are free and lit at night, and they connect up with the major transEuropean road networks going to the main towns in Europe.
There are 1,951 kms of navigable rivers in Belgium. These not only irrigate the country but are also used for transport to the ports on the coast.
